Thanksgiving is here, and while most businesses are sending the usual “Happy Thanksgiving” messages, I want to share something different—something that will truly stand out and leave a lasting impression on your customers.
This isn’t about sales, discounts, or flashy promotions. It’s about connecting on a deeper level and showing the people who support your business just how much they mean to you.
I call it the Gratitude Amplifier™, and it’s a simple but powerful framework you can use not just today, but through the entire weekend.
1️⃣ Send a Personalized Voice or Video Message
Instead of another email or text, take 30 seconds to record a heartfelt voice or video message for key customers. This isn’t just “thanks for your business”—make it personal and specific. Mention something unique about how they’ve supported or impacted your business this year.
💡 How to Send It:
Send through Instagram or Facebook DM for a direct, personal connection.
Use voice text on iMessage, WhatsApp, or email.
LinkedIn has a built-in voice message feature—perfect for B2B clients.
Example Message: “Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] from [Your Business]. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you personally for [specific reason—‘choosing us for your project in May,’ ‘referring us to your friend,’ etc.]. Your support truly means the world to us, and it’s because of amazing customers like you that we get to do what we love. I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving—know that we’re grateful for YOU!”
2️⃣ Host a Virtual Gratitude Wall
Take gratitude to the next level by inviting your community to join in. Post on social media and ask your audience to share who or what they’re grateful for this year. Then, respond to their messages with your own notes of thanks or highlight them publicly in your stories or posts.
Creative Twist:
Tag and spotlight specific customers or partners to make the gratitude feel personal.
Repost their gratitude stories with your comments to celebrate your community.
Example Post: “This Thanksgiving, we’re creating a Gratitude Wall! 💛 Tag a person, business, or team you’re thankful for this year, and we’ll highlight your stories in our feed. Gratitude is contagious—let’s spread it together!”
3️⃣ Surprise Someone with a Handwritten Thank-You
Take a moment to write a handwritten note to one or two standout customers who made a real difference to your business this year. Share the note publicly on social media (or even record yourself reading it) and tag the recipient to let them know how much they mean to you.
Example Post: “Dear [@CustomerName], your support this year has been such a gift. From [specific moment or reason], you’ve made an impact that we’ll never forget. Thank you for trusting us and being part of our journey. 💛”
A handwritten note feels deeply personal and rare—and when shared publicly, it shows your entire audience how much you value your customers.
Why This Works
Gratitude is more than a gesture—it’s a connection. When you take the time to show genuine appreciation, your customers feel seen, valued, and loyal to your business. These simple steps take just a few minutes but can create a lasting impression that strengthens your relationships far beyond the holiday season.
